RFID Asset Tags

Our asset tags and labels can also be supplied with an RFID chip which can be encoded with a number which makes the tag itself even more secure as you can use a specialised RFID reader or handheld to read the asset number from the tag into a system. These types of tags can also be supplied in a full plastic housing and are known as on metal tags, they are highly durable and can be used in a wide range of industries.

Understanding the Types of Asset Tags

Because asset tags have such a variety of uses cases, there is no standardised purchase process as each use case can be very different.  To accommodate all the various use-cases, there is a variety of tag types and designs, each with their own suitabilities.

Foil Asset tags: Foil asset tags or labels are durable self-adhesive tags, designed for both indoor and outdoor use. These labels are designed to be extremely durable and hardwearing with excellent durability against extreme hot and cold temperatures. These tags are ideal for environments where exposure to heat, cold, chemicals or abrasion is likely.

Rigid Aluminium Tags: Rigid aluminum labels offer the very best in terms of durability. As you would expect, these are typically used in the very harshest of environments such as manufacturing, cabling, industrial and chemical processing environments.

Polyester Asset Tags:  These are the most commonly used tags for indoor use. They are typically marked with a company name/logo, asset number and a barcode.
