Datacard Retransfer Film
Retransfer printing combines exceptional print speed with photo-quality images. Retransfer printers initially print onto a transparent, flexible film which is then thermally bonded to the card. This process results in exceptionally high-quality images with greater durability. Retransfer printing also allows for true edge-to-edge printing whereas traditional dye sublimation printers leave a thin white border at the edge of the card.
Compatible with Datacard SR200 & SR300 printers.
The Datacard 568971-103 is a re-transfer film, this simply means that it’s used with a colour ribbon, this one specifically is used with the Datacard 568971-001, this ribbon is a YMCK ribbon. The print process works by a design being printed onto the transfer film in reverse; this is then laminated onto your plastic cards.
