Choosing The Right Smart 51 Ribbon
Selecting the appropriate ribbon for your printer may not be as simple as it appears. The IDP has several ribbon types available, which can be categorized based on color, print yield, or special effects. This wide range of options can make the selection process confusing.
YMCKO Ribbons
A YMCKO ribbon is full-color and uses four colors Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and black to produce any hue on the color spectrum. YMCKO ribbons are available in various yields, ranging from 100 to 300 prints per ribbon.
Black / Monochrome Ribbons
Black ribbons print black only, these ribbons are most commonly used for cards with text only or simply monochrome designs with Black logos or text.
