The HDP6600 is the only retransfer printer on the market capable of generating high-definition cards and IDs at a speed of up to 230 cards per hour. This is thanks to HID Global’s groundbreaking iON technology for image transfer and lamination — a first in the industry. This patent-pending iON, or “instant on,” technology quickly heats up the transfer roller and optional laminator, enabling the device to attain the ideal operating temperature within seconds and thus accelerating the entire retransfer printing and lamination processes. In contrast, other lamination products may require up to five minutes for initial heating. The HDP6600 is ready to create top-quality cards and IDs in under a minute.

The HID FARGO HDP6600 comes with multiple security features and provides an option to include physical locks, making it a vital component in maintaining the security of your card issuance program.

• Resin scramble data protection: This exclusive feature enhances security by scrambling and hiding information printed with a resin panel. Consequently, used ribbon panels become unreadable, protecting cardholder data from unauthorized use.

• Password protection: User-defined passwords restrict access to the printer and confidential cardholder information, ensuring that unauthorized individuals cannot use the printer to produce fraudulent cards.

• AES 256 data encryption: Encrypted print job data packets offer additional protection for sensitive cardholder information during transmission, ensuring data integrity and authentication at the final issuance endpoint.

• Optional physical locks for card hoppers: These locks provide an extra layer of security for the card issuance process.

Wasteless Printing

The HDP6600 employs HID Global’s cutting-edge wasteless lamination technology, which eliminates the need for the standard carrier film and take-up core found in most lamination consumables available today. As a result, the HDP6600 significantly reduces consumables waste and has the potential to decrease high-volume laminate material expenses by up to 40 percent. In addition to the reduction in waste and consumables costs, wasteless PolyGuard™ LMX overlaminates prolong the lifespan of your cards with a 99.5 percent card coverage — the highest in the industry — inherently offering the utmost level of protection.
