Can the Smart 51 print on both sides of the card?

The Smart 51 is available in both single & dual-sided printing configurations. It is still possible to print on both sides of the cards with a single sided printer, it just requires the card to be manually removed, flipped and placed back in the printer to print the second side.

How Many Cards can i print with the smart 51?

The Smart 51 is an extremly robust professional-class printer and is capable of producing large volumes of cards. We recommend this printer for printing volumers of up to 5000 per year.

Does the Smart 51 have an encoder?

The Smart 51 standard models does not come with encoders. The printer can be configured to include a magnetic stripe encoder, a smart chip encoder or both.

Do I need to service my printer?

We recommend you give your smart 51 a cleaning service at each ribbon change. Luckily, the process is very simple and just requires a cleaning card to be placed into the machine. This will allow the machine to run a cleaning cycle and keep the printer healthy. This is critical for long term health of the printer.
