Paxton KP75 Proximity Keypad

Paxton KP readers uniquely combine a keypad and a proximity reader, providing dual-mode access control that allows for card plus PIN (or code) validation. These readers are specifically designed for integration with Switch2 and Net2 systems. KP readers come with interchangeable bezels in black or white, with additional color options provided free of charge to registered Paxton Access installers.

Installation – As outlined on the control unit label, the reader should be wired accordingly. It’s crucial to refrain from mounting on metal surfaces or in proximity to other readers to prevent interference with the reading range. The central cable exit at the back of the reader facilitates precise drilling and mounting.

Operation – The reader operates by detecting a token when it’s held nearby. After a token is detected, if the reader is set for code/PIN operation, this code must be input via the keypad. Following this, the control unit assesses the given information and either approves or denies access. Approval is indicated by a green LED flash, while denial is signaled by a red LED flash.
