Paxton P75 Proximity Reader

The P series readers are designed for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. They come with black fascias by default, but replacement fascias in black and white/grey are also available.  P series readers are offered in four different sizes.

Genuine HID Technology Integration:
We have integrated Genuine HID Technology into the majority of our Paxton readers. With the appropriate activation card, these readers can now read HID 125kHz Proximity tokens. If desired, the readers can still be configured to have Wiegand output using a separate activation card.

Installation:
To install the reader, follow the wiring diagram provided on the control unit label. It is important to avoid mounting the reader on metal surfaces or near other proximity readers, as this can affect the read range. The reader is designed with a central cable exit at the back, facilitating accurate drilling and mounting.

Operation:
To read a token, simply hold it in close proximity to the reader. Once the token is read, the control unit checks the access permissions of the user. Access is granted or denied accordingly. If access is granted, the green LED flashes, and if access is denied, the red LED flashes.
