How Do HID Cards Work?
HID proximity cards employs radio frequency identification (RFID) technology or a specialized microprocessor integrated into an identification card.
These cards can be encoded with data by a desktop card printer When these cards are brought near an access card reader, the information stored in the card’s antenna is communicated to the reader and verified and an appropriate response is activated.Â
