Paxton10 Slimline Reader

About – The Paxton10 Slimline Reader, while compact (with a 48mm width mullion mount), masterfully blends in with the Paxton10 system, thanks to its multi-format technology.

This slimline reader features a versatile reading technology that can concurrently read a wide variety of cards and tokens, such as Paxton, EM, MIFARE® DESFIRE® CSN, HID® Prox 125kHz, FeliCa, and NFC.

Installation – The color-coded wires of the reader can be linked color by color to a Paxton10 Door or Video controller. Be cautious when mounting near other proximity readers, as this might impact the read range. The cable, which exits from the center of the reader’s back, simplifies drilling and mounting by increasing precision.

The package comes with a 5-meter cable that can be extended using a Belden 8723 cable.

Operation – Users can have their token read by placing it close to the reader. The control unit, upon reading a token, checks the user’s access permissions, either granting or denying access as necessary.

Furthermore, the reader is compatible with three Bluetooth® operating modes for smart credentials, including token, touch-to-enter, and long range.
